We are an autonomous local church of Bible-believing Christians that hold to the Baptist Distinctives. We are independent meaning that we are not associated with or under the control of, any union or council of churches.
We believe in the historic fundamentals of the Christian faith, including the inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, the Virgin Birth and deity of Christ, His Substitutionary Atonement for the sins of mankind, His Bodily Resurrection, and His Premillennial, Pre-Tribulation Return to catch away in the Rapture of all Christians.
We hold to the Biblical distinctives which have characterised orthodox Baptists down through the centuries, which are: Biblical Authority Autonomy of the local church, The Priesthood of the Believer, Two ordinances (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper), Individual Soul Liberty, Saved Church Membership, Two offices (Pastor and Deacon), Separation of Church and State.
We are non-charismatic in accord with the historic understanding of the Scriptures and the Lord’s teaching of speaking in tongues and healing. We are evangelical and do not apologise for preaching the Gospel of Salvation by grace through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ, believing that the word of God is the answer for the needs of modern man.
We do not hold the Calvinistic Doctrine of Election ( Ephesians 1 vs 4-14 Part 1 Ephesians 1 vs 4-14 Part 2 ) believing that, according to Scripture, man has been given a free will to either accept or reject Christ’s atonement on the cross, John 3:16-17. To enter Heaven each individual must repent of their sin and accept Christ’s death on the cross as payment for that sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
